This year’s SC3 Regional Advisory Board meeting will be held in New Orleans, Louisiana, and will focus on the theme of “Cultivating Equity and Inclusion in a Diverse Educational World.” SC3 continues to work with state education agencies (SEAs) in building leadership capacity to support districts and schools to improve student learning and ultimately close achievement gaps among diverse student populations. Visit our Equity & Diversity Web Portal for more resources and a highlight video of one of our Regional Advisory Board speakers, Dr. Paul Gorski, who is a leading national expert in equity and diversity issues from George Mason University. To enrich discussion among the states, the SC3 Regional Advisory Board meeting will be held concurrently with that of the Central Comprehensive Center (C3), a sister regional center also housed under our umbrella at the University of Oklahoma, serving Colorado, Kansas, and Missouri.
SC3 is located at the University of Oklahoma within the College of Continuing Education and is funded through the United States Department of Education as one of 15 regional technical assistance comprehensive centers. The primary goal of SC3 is to work closely with the SEAs in Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, and Oklahoma to build their capacities to help districts and schools meet the requirements of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) and improve education outcomes for all students.
Please contact SC3, if you have any questions.
